What formats do you support?
Text-based PDF today — the format you get when you export from Word, Google Docs, or most builders. DOCX is on the v2 roadmap. Scanned image PDFs (from phone photos) aren't supported yet because there's no readable text to score.
What happens to my CV?
We parse it to generate the report, then store the parsed report for 24 hours so you can revisit the URL. After that it's automatically deleted. No accounts, no email list, no tracking pixels.
Is it really free?
Yes — the report and the builder are both free, no sign-up, no payment. If MakeMyCV saves you time and you want to help cover hosting and AI costs, there's a tip jar — but it's entirely optional.
How accurate is the parser?
We test against the same extraction path used by ATS systems common in DIFC firms, UAE banks, and government entities. If our parser can't read a section cleanly, theirs probably can't either — which is the signal you actually want.
